It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death of our President Robin Chesterman OBE following a period of illness.

The Association welcomed a new member Colin Pettingale. Colin was a member in the distant past.

The Association welcomed new members Max Ralph, Mick George and Glen Cannell.

We welcomed Peter Knox back as a member of the Association. Peter left a number of years ago when he moved to work in Australia. He has now returned and is again in the Ipswich area.

At the Association's AGM, Mr Roy Everitt was presented with an Honorary Life Membership in recognition of his services to the Association. He is our longest active and regular attending member of 42 years. He has served on the Management Committee for at least 6 years and 3 yrs on the Social committee and was also 15 yrs as an auditor. We probably remember him best for the many years he has been responsible for organising the Annual Bowls Match against the Eastern Electricity Bowls Club.. Congratulations Roy.
